At United Barcode Systems we want to reduce the impact of our industry on nature and therefore, we have organized a social action called, Reforestation – Plant a Tree, to offset CO2 emissions.
Reforestation is an essential action that consists of repopulating deforested areas with trees and recovering forests, which are vital for the generation of oxygen and the fight against climate change. The main objective is to halt the advance of desertification, prevent the loss of the ecosystem and slow down the deterioration of the planet.
With this social action, we are contributing to:

Generate local employment, 5,000 days of employment.
- Working with entities of people at risk of social exclusion.
- Increase biodiversity, 550,000 trees planted.
- Improve the landscape, 360 hectares recovered.
- Slow erosion processes, 75,000tCO2 absorbed.
Why plant trees? We reduce and offset our company's impact on nature, in collaboration with the Bosques Sostenibles team.
We have invited all our employees to participate in this activity. The activity will consist of receiving training about the Bosques Sostenibles project, the impact our company has on the environment and the actions we can take to reduce and compensate it. Afterwards, trees will be planted to contribute to reforestation.
The Blue Minds movement this time leads us to plant trees to reforest forests, but... What will be the next action?
